Who We Are
St. Mary’s Foundation for Youth & Community Empowerment is a nonprofit organization based in Namasuba, Uganda, dedicated to transforming lives through education, sports, and holistic community development. Founded as an extension of St. Mary’s Primary School Namasuba, the foundation now serves both children and adults in Namasuba and across the greater Kampala region.
Our mission is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves the chance to thrive — in the classroom, on the sports field, and in life. We provide access to quality education, nurture sports talent, and promote life skills that empower youth and families to build brighter futures.
What We Do
Education Support
We promote inclusive, affordable, and quality education through St. Mary’s Primary School and outreach programs that support underprivileged children with school supplies, tuition assistance, and mentorship.
Sports & Talent Development
Through structured sports programs, especially in football and athletics, we develop discipline, teamwork, and leadership among youth — giving them opportunities to shine both locally and nationally.
Community Empowerment
Our work extends to parents and adults through parenting workshops, health awareness sessions, vocational training, and community projects that uplift entire households.
Girls & Vulnerable Children
We are committed to equity and inclusion. We run targeted programs to empower girls and children from vulnerable backgrounds to access opportunities, develop self-worth, and overcome barriers.
Our Story
The journey began with a school — St. Mary’s Primary School Namasuba — founded to serve children with strong values, discipline, and academic excellence. As the needs in the community grew beyond education, the idea of a foundation was born: a platform to expand impact, reach more lives, and address deeper social challenges.
Today, the foundation stands as a beacon of hope for children, youth, and families, helping them realize their potential and create generational change.
Why We Exist
Too many children in Uganda face barriers to education, lack of safe spaces, and limited exposure to positive role models. At St. Mary’s Foundation, we’re changing that — child by child, village by village. We believe that when you invest in people, especially the young, you ignite lasting transformation.
